Andrea Farrow is a North Carolina artist and founder of Farrow House, a wood-focused art practice rooted in nature and the emotional landscape.

Working primarily on basswood, Andrea combines hand drawing, pyrography, carving, and layered pigment. To create work inspired by North Carolina’s marshes, coastlines, forests, & wildlife. 

Her landscapes become a way of examining memory, motherhood, grief, resilience, and the strange beauty of being human.

Largely self-taught, Andrea began painting in 2008, with her first showing in June of 2012 in Downtown Raleigh. She later studied interior design and architecture and worked in hospitality design before returning to a personal art practice and discovering wood as her primary medium

Today, her work ranges from carved landscapes and nature studies to hand-rendered maps and nautical-chart-inspired pieces.
